Celebrating Flex Seal Colors’ Milestone!

Who would ever turn an old pickup truck into a submarine? We would. In fact, we have. In January 2015, we put Flex Seal Colors to the ultimate test. We took an average truck and turned it into a submarine.

Here at Flex Seal, we go to extreme measures because our products give extreme results. It’s not enough just to tell you about how great Flex Seal is. We want you to see it with your very own eyes.

So help us celebrate this major milestone for Flex Seal Colors as we take a look at how Flex Seal Colors turned an ordinary truck into the unimaginable.

A Drive Down Memory Lane

Recap 1: Flex Seal It. Phil Swift, the pitchman for  Flex Seal (with the help of his team) took an old 1946 Chevy pickup truck and sprayed it with Flex Seal Colors. Flex Seal creates an airtight, waterproof seal. So it was only natural that Phil and the team sprayed the truck with Flex Seal. Not only does Flex Seal keep out air, moisture, and water, but the magic of Flex Seal Colors helps you do it in style.

[Flex Tip: Before spraying Flex Seal (from 8-12 inches away), make sure your surface is clean and dry of dirt, oil, and grease.]

Recap 2: Let It Dry. Flex Seal Colors take 24 to 48 hours to dry before applying another coat. Phil’s team applied several coats to the truck seen in the commercial. Before testing Flex Seal, it’s important that you let your last coat dry properly, just as Phil and the Flex Seal Team did.

[Flex Tip: Flex Seal Colors work best in temperatures between 60°F and 150°F. So you don’t need to worry about it peeling in the summer heat.]

Recap 3: Time to Take a Swim. After letting Flex Seal Colors dry on the truck (and making some small adjustments to the truck’s mechanics), Phil jumped in the truck-gone-submarine to test it out. And the rest is history. Phil had zero concerns about leaks, and that’s the power of Flex Seal Colors.

At Flex Seal Headquarters, we back everything up with action. Though we’ve given you a quick recap on how Phil and the team pulled off such a big feat, check out the video for yourself.

As the years pass, Flex Seal still hasn’t lost its shine or strength. In fact, our fans are always coming up with brand-new ways to use Flex Seal Colors. They love to use them around the holidays for arts and crafts, around the house, and on automobiles. The possibilities are endless with Flex Seal Colors.
