Flex Seal is constantly breaking barriers. It offers something for everyone – gardeners, handymen, and artists alike. The one thing our Flex Sealers have in common is that they are do-it-yourself kind of people.
You can even find Flex Seal in the gym. Now that Flex Seal comes in 12 different vibrant colors, the gym is the perfect spot to put Flex Seal Colors to use.

Use Flex Seal Colors to organize your kettlebells. Not only can you color-coordinate your weights according to size, but Flex Seal will prevent them from rusting and gives a nice firm grip.
Step 1: Pick a Well-Ventilated Area.
Before doing anything, pick an area that is well-ventilated. If you’re organizing your personal kettlebells, an open garage or the backyard are good spots for your project. If you’re organizing kettlebells for a professional gym, find an open area. Keep the windows up and get a fan running.
[Flex Tip: Not only does Flex Seal protect and transform surfaces, but it also seals cracks. So if there are cracks in your kettlebells, Flex Seal will seal them.]
Step 2: Prep the Surface.
Remove any glosses from the kettlebells. Just scrub the gloss away with an emery cloth. Also, the surface of the kettlebell must be dry and clean of any oil, grease, or dirt. Grab a rag and wipe it down.
[Flex Tip: Before spraying your kettlebells, make sure you have them set on a drop cloth. This will prevent you from spraying Flex Seal in unwanted areas.]
Step 3: Flex Seal It.
Spray 8 to 12 inches from each kettlebell using an even sweeping motion. Apply several even coats until the kettlebells are completely covered. With 12 vibrant color options, you can pick your favorite, brightest colors to show off (and protect) your kettlebells.
[Flex Tip: Flex Seal works best in conditions over 60°F and under 150°F. So you don’t have to worry about it dripping or sagging in a packed gym session.]
Step 4: Let Your Kettlebells Dry Properly.
One of the biggest mistakes some Flex Sealers make is that they don’t follow the Flex Seal instructions properly. We don’t want that to happen to you. Don’t forget to allow each coat to dry 24 to 48 hours before applying another coat. Give your last coat 48 hours before you put your kettlebells to the test.
[Flex Tip: If you want to preserve the original color of your kettlebells, just use Flex Seal Clear. It has all of the sealant power of the other Flex Seal cans while keeping any and all surfaces their original colors.]
Step 5: Try a Kettlebell Swing.
Go ahead and grab a kettlebell and give it a try. Flex Seal creates a nice firm grip. So you don’t have to worry about a kettlebell sliding out of your sweaty hands. Flex Seal’s rubber coating stops vibrations and deadens noises. So that’ll cut down on the loud clanks you hear when dropping your kettlebells to the ground.
Flex Seal really is perfect for the gym atmosphere. Gyms are filled with sweaty people, so there’s likely some moisture in the air. But moisture-blocking is one of Flex Seal’s specialties. Not only will it protect the surface of kettlebells from rust, water, moisture, and air… but it’ll cut down on the noise of weights hitting the floor.
Flex Seal dries as a rubber sealant that is flexible and easily adapts to whatever it’s sprayed on. And it lasts for years. No wonder it’s the top water sealant spray in the nation.
